Why Anyone But Harper?
That is easy, I want a Leader who gives a shit about me, about those of us who aren’t Corporate Execs, who aren’t Big Shot Labor Bosses. I want a leader & Government who will actually care about the little guy, who gets up every morning to go to work, does his/her job to their best ability, and comes home to deal with the family.
Stephen Harper & his Conservatives are not that type of party. To them, if you aren’t running some big conglomerate or union, your needs don’t even it make on his radar screen. He doesn’t care that you are struggling to pay for your gas, to get to work, because hell, he doesn’t have to pay for it. He just charges it to the taxpayer.
But here is a classic reason why I could never support the Conservatives, with Stephen Harper in Charge.
He would much rather spend a hidden $15 Billion dollars on fancy new jets for the Air Force, than spend a paltry HALF A BILLION DOLLARS to supplement the income for Senior Citizens who need income assistance.
There is something wrong about claiming the cost of replacing our aged Air Fleet will be about $15 Billion,when the truth is, without an order, it has already doubled in cost. So now our replacement costs us an additional $15 Billion.
I was never good in Math, but you know what. Least I know that one and one makes two, not three or five. Yet Mr Harper seems to think that hiding half the cost, with no guarantee that it won’t be higher, is okay. After all, what is a few billion among friends, right?
