So here goes, what I am about, or what this blog will be about. I suppose, to begin with, the boring details should be taken care of.
I am 54 years now, been looking after my 91 year old mother for the last 9 years. And that is not easy, as it makes going out, difficult.
I am married, legally for the last 4 years to David. We have been together now for 13 years, living as man & man, and yes, we are Gay.
Our wedding was traditional, even had a Rabbi officiate at it, and you know, it just felt right, still does.
I write adult fiction, which means, yes it is not for minors, or those easily offended by sex. Now, I never understood why sex is such a touchy subject, because we all do it, if we are lucky, so why do we make it seem so dirty, when it is talked about?
Now, this is not my adult site, nor do I intend to discuss homosexuality or my sex life. To begin with, its no one’s business, and secondly, it isn’t allowed here, which is just fine. See, I may be Gay, but like everyone else, I do have other interests. I am not just about sex, like so many seem to think us Gay’s are about. We like sports, and to be honest, the wife certainly is not color consious or has any decoration skills.
I have another political blog, which is on my adult server, so if you find links to it, hey, you have been warned. There are no naked guys on that blog, but there are links to my other sites, blogs, so like I said, you have been warned.
Politics is important to me, not because I hope to one day be Prime Minister. That dream has passed, and besides, can you really see a fat gay Jew getting elected, who has a career of writing adult sex stories? I DON’T THINK SO!
I am idealistic, because I believe we can all do better, and I also believe in GOD. I am religious, because when you look after someone who is close to death, the alternative isn’t comforting. However, I have been religious for some time, and I honestly cannot say why. I just know, I believe in him, but not like so many do.
I don’t believe in a GOD that hates others, or who punishes people for not doing things, his way. I mean if we all did that, well, we’d be GOD, NOT HIM. So we try, and in that endeavor, we screw up. If, as many claim, GOD is one of LOVE and is the TRUE FATHER, well I don’t think he’s gonna stop loving me, simply because I make mistakes.
That is partly why I am so taken with politics. I am tired of seeing how people get elected, that really shouldn’t even be dog catcher. Yet we elect them, because they know how to turn a phrase, and make us believe in their promises, that rarely bet fullfilled.
Anyhow, before this becomes one of my novels, I shall end this about page, by saying that I believe in a lot of old fashioned ideas. I believe in loving our neighbours, that stealing is wrong, murder is wrong, and that doing what is right, is harder than it sounds. I also am realistic, which is a contradiction for an idealist & dreamer. Yet I think one man/woman can make a difference, and that one vote does count, does matter.
I strongly believe in freedom, but real freedom where people are allowed to voice their opinion, and have it openly discussed, and argued about. I don’t believe rights exist, for an elite segment of society, and that there can only be one law, for everyone, not simply for those in a majority, or for those who can contribute the most money. Not realistic perhaps, but it once was, and I simply cannot accept, that it can never be that way again.
